A wee bit of luck and magic
In many cases, these logos are small parts of the visual identity for either an event, a company or an individual. After all, they mean nothing without context and a logo is only as good as the way it’s used.
In the meantime I will strive for the ultimate marque which can be drawn easily in the sand, think either Nike or MacDonalds [I just realised there’s quite a contradiction there as one makes you fit where the other makes you fat… I may need to look for better case study examples!].
For the sake of clarity, I have also refrained from showcasing any of my favourite items created using the mighty Comic Sans due to ever growing peer pressure :/
There are three responses to a piece of design – yes, no, and WOW!
Wow is the one to aim for.
