Life’s a pitch

Close your eyes, take a deep breath and relax. The pitch, the moment where you have to pick up a chair and put those butterflies back in their cage and any pussycat within you has to roar like a lion… well not exactly but you get the jist of it.

It’s the time where everything you have put your heart and soul into, the late nights, the endless coffee intake, the take outs… It is right now, the final output of all the blood sweat and beers, comes under scrutiny for the first time, and hopefully, they like it… or your plan B better be really good.

Life’s a pitch

The following are examples of the design concepts I created, while working at a previous agency, for a conference that was to decide the future strategic plan to be implemented throughout the company with the tagline of ‘What’s Next?’.

Due to the curve of the type, it also lent itself well to signage, presentations and supporting graphics. Bright vibrant colours from the KANTAR palette worked well in various combinations. The circle graphic used throughout is also relative to the sign off of the question mark from the conference name. This element was then used further throughout supporting collateral, to bring them together in a cohesive and unified manner.

Needless to say the agency won the gig, but alas… the conference venue was changed and a new path was taken with the creative and this piece of work now lives forever on the cutting room floor. SNIFF.
